Inspired by this revelation and my own Sapphic thirst, I bring you this quasi-OC. Imagine if you will that Valkyrie-then-Brunnhilde's lover (whose name, Reginleif, was selected by me from a list of names held by Valkyries in poetry and myth) sacrificed herself in battle, as we know she did... but then she was reborn as a mostly regular human to a couple of Swedes living in Scotland in the modern era. Regan's a twentysomething with a wild imagination that at least in part is actually driven by her past life's memories and a penchant for fighting people who would promote social injustice that at least in part is actually driven by her past life's combativeness. Have other Valkyries also been reborn in the modern era? Maybe. Did I decide this one was reborn purely so if she somehow crossed paths with her still-living former lover there could be some good old-fashioned cosmic tragedy followed by happiness, just this time it's really queer? Yes.
Basically, it's like Sailor Moon, if Endymion was a badass woman and hadn't died and was just eternally drifting around the universe until Serenity was reborn as Usagi and their ultimate reunion took place. Also instead of the weird mean-teasing "bun-head" phase of the relationship they go straight to the part where they make hearteyes at each other or what have you.
How much of Regan's past life she already remembers is variable; I'm probably going to default to her feeling a vague sense of familiarity around Valkyrie and having the occasional unexplained memory that she figures is probably a dream. It's up to other players what they know of her, sense about her, or even remember about her - I'm not going to force this on anyone! But if you do want to participate, just let me know, and we can work out beautiful things.
